How you do react when people want to sell you something?

I think you and your husband are doing a great job. It is admirable when people do something to help others. I also want to help people who are in need of something. So when Red Cross come to my house I usually give some money. When "Folkekirkens Nødhjælp" (a church organization) come to my house I also give some money. I want to help as much as I can. I never get angry when someone comes to my door with the best of intentions. On the contrary I become glad and interested.

Not trying to sound nasty but I am always annoyed with people knocking on the door trying to sell me things. Some people try so hard to push for sales. I become aggitated by that. But I have to keep in mind that what they do is their job. I also get annoy the phone calls from people trying to sell or promote things.
So when these people ring or knock, I am always polite and try and tell them that I am not interested or that I am too busy to listen. I personally don't want these people wasting their time trying to sell things to me when I know I am not going to buy. I would rather see them on their way quickly because if they waste their time with me, they are not going to get a sale. If I move them along as quickly as I can, they could be making a sale some where else sooner.

My home is my home to relax in. I don't like being disturbed by unwanted sales people at the door or on the phone. I certainly would prefer catalogues or information sheets dropped off in my letterbox. From there I can choose to remove all mail from the letterbox. I can read it in my own time that I choose. I can make up my own mind if I wish to deal the company or not without wasting any ones time.

if I sound horrible, my appologies. I will say that you are so brave for doing what you are doing because I know that there are mean and nasty people out there. I admire you for doing what you do. I couldn't do anything like that. I do the next step down which is delivering catalogues to letter boxes.

Simple I dont answer the door.I dont really want to buy anything unless its in the store.

I was also exposed in selling anything for a long time and had encountered lots of funny, serious, offensive and interesting things. It's hard to convince people to patronize your product but as long as you believe, they feel your sincerity and you use them too it will be easier to sell your products. I am into direct-selling before -- shoes, cosmetics, fragrances, clothes, jewelries, chocolates and a lot more. I just enjoyed dealing with people and earning at the same time.

In our country the usual door to door offers are promo laundry soaps, shampoo and baby care products. I was so kind enough to buy some of the laundry products but when i used it-- it's FAKE. There's a lot of fake promos around. I learned my lesson and no more buying on a door to door selling.

We are very cordial with these people and offer them water too even if we don't buy any thing from them. After all they are like us doing something for a living. Do unto others as you would like them do to you.

Well since in my village every time a stranger knocks the door and try to sell us something has always been a scam, and they sell useless products, and sometimes they only bring empty envelope and asking use to fill it with money and saying they want to use the money to build something, then i will surely say NO, in fact Hell no. so nothing curious me, and definitely not interest me, all of them are annoying.

Urgh! I absolutely hate it when people come to the door trying to sell me something ESPECIALLY when they are persistent and keep talking even if you have said that you are not interested.

I have never experienced that somebody knocked my door trying to sell something. But if it happens, surely i will entertain him/her like a guest. I would offer him/her some coffee or snacks then we could go to the main topic. If i learned that he/she is doing only small business just to add a little amount for their living, i will not try bargaining his/her items.

i'm very much interested...i don't get annoyed...i will talk to them ina friendly manner and if i'm interested and the product is really trusted, then i would buy the product for sure...if i'm not liking the product, i will say sorry, i dont need this...i never get angry on the people..
they are humans and they wanna help us..

i will get annoyed when someone wants to sell me something.the first reason is that most of the products are fake. the second reason lies in that they just talk a long time and make me annoy. the third reason is that if i do not buy the product he or she will become very unfriendly .this makes me very uncomfortable and make me feel that i have been cheated.
