Why People Not Celebrate Halloween in our Country  

Yes, but valentine day actually also was never in our custom, but it can really slide in very easily since most of the youth in Indonesia Celebrate them. But maybe, it is because it is very easy to celebrate valentine day. On the other hand, making a scary custom for a trick or treat it is a lot of work. Well thanks anyway for sharing your opinion with us.

Yes, i think it is not because of the culture, but most of the effort maybe. It is hard enough to celebrate Halloween because we need to make a costume of ghost, evil spirit, etc. And making that costume is a lot of work, but well that is my opinion. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Well i never said i am not proud being an indonesian. I actually pretty proud, and doing other culture doesn't mean we lost our identity, because our culture will still exist if we keep using it, it doesn't matter if we use other culture as well. I just think, that it would be great to play Halloween because it will be fun to see people in scary costume walking around scaring people. I think it will be a very funny experience.

i did not mean my words is aimed for you. i just say as generally,that some of indonesian more proud of using western product, follow western culture but never want to use indonesian product or using or watch our culture. more familiar with KFC and dunkin donuts but never know about Banana Fritters, Dodol, Nasi Rawon etc. more happy if taking vacation in Australia, Singapore than if have vacation in Sumedang, Digul, etc. i aimed my words for the people like that lord. i hope you understand my explanation

Ok, well you surely are true. I hate when the rich go to Singapore simply for shopping since actually the item usually make in our country and then sent there. But, we also have a new product, most of our local McDonald franchise turn into tony jack franchise, our own local product. And local food is also popular in our country since actually there are many Expensive restrant that focus on our local food. Anyway, that's it what i think.

ya, lord that`s the way i mean. we had a a special food, but sometimes most of us more like western food. we had a great place for vacation, like anyer, bali, lombok, padang, Komodo national park etc but we do more like visit Australia, Singapore etc. we had a national branded, but we always use international branded. that`s the way i mean.

But well there is actually nothing wrong for go abroad for vacation, if you have the money. But off course, don't forget about the local tourism in indonesia, there are many place to visit. Trying something from outside Indonesia is okay as long it is not too much that it make us think that the outside is better, which actually not. Thanks.

Well yes, i think the problem is the costume, since it need a lot of effort and money to create such costume. And with that much effort and money, using it just for one day seem really are wasteful. It is different with valentine day where we usually only give the one we love with chocolate, which actually more cheaper and easier to get. Thanks.

Well i don't think halloween has anything to do with religion because it is not a religion celebration. Anyway, i agree that halloween is less popular in asia. unlike valetine day that are also popular in asia. Anyway thanks for reply this discussion my friend.
