1. goldenteardrops (133) | 2 months ago | well to start off I would say jobs are not alot here in te U.S.A. right now and money is hard to get for alot of people right now. A far as people welcome here there is alot liveing here right now that are from other places. I know alot of people here need help who have lived here all their life and know some who came here live better than those who have always been here. So to think on these things all depends on why they come here and what purpose. To get a start one needs to have something to start with.

thanks for the reply.
The lack of jobs is definitely a problem, and unfortunately is right across the world at the moment. You are definitely right with the last statement of your post.

2. Binthu (3420) | 2 months ago | Hi Astonysh,
Most of the European countries would suffered very badly due to this current economic crisis and also millions of peoples are unemployed or underemployed, so they are struggling for the life and many of them live the life without job and without money, so the life is really miserable, in that condition why we need to have the Green Card for USA, better to be here at least in our own country to have some jobs to have the beautiful life with more supports from all of our friends in our own country.
Have a nice day.

astonysh (1935) | 2 months ago | Hi Binthu,
thanks as ever for your reply.
What gets me really is that you would be leaving one bad situation for another, and upsetting people when you got there. Staying where you are makes more sense.

4. mommaj (1085) | 2 months ago | LOL. Those advertisements anger the Americans as well. Jobs are scarce here and for an agency to offer the jobs to foreigners, well that doesn't endow foreigners to Americans. I think they are running the advertisements to sucker people to spend the money to travel here, buy houses here, and then to get "stuck" here searching for a job. The world's economy is in trouble, so don't let people make money off of your aggravation. Once you get here you won't have an income and that would be very aggravating. If you want a job here look for it yourself and get your own green card without going through a "middle" man.

astonysh (1935) | 2 months ago | Hi,
thanks for your excellent reply and your kind words - I only hope that you are very right about the job, and very soon. I have a lot of self-belief, and I am sure that some firm should benefit from what I can offer.
I admire your positive attitude, particularly given the current difficult circumstances. We would all hope that more and better jobs is the eventual outcome after all this.

astonysh (1935) | 2 months ago | Hi,
thanks for the reply.
That is what I might have guessed from reading some of the items that I have seen on LinkedIn.com. I think that age may well be a problem though, as it is here (it is the one thing more than anything that seems to impact negatively most of my applications here).

We have an unemployed rate of 9.8% and i am not going to lie, it is going to get worse before it gets better. But guess what, it is going to get better no matter what people say. Many are just scare because they don't know what the future holds for them. There are still opportunities available in this country, it may not be as much as before but there are still jobs out there in different communities. People also need to get innovative and create jobs for them selves, don't wait on someone to offer you a job. This will definitely help the economy grow. These overseas agencies need to stop advertising for individuals to apply for green card to work in the USA. The little work here is to supply its citizens for survival.

astonysh (1935) | 2 months ago | Hi,
thanks for the reply.
I also have no doubt that the USA will recover. It is simply a question of time, hard work and patience - and dare I say, a bit more intelligent behaviour from the financial community.
From my point of view it is definitely the wrong time to think about going there. Improving the employment situation for the people already there should be the priority, and these adverts definitely need to stop.

8. cutepenguin (3787) | 2 months ago | I don't think it's actually the government that advertises these things. I think the ad is just hoping to encounter a few people who click on it, and it will actually be a thing where you pay for help or something. Or it's a scam.
I like where I live, so I don't really see the point in moving, but some people might move because of the industry they work in, their family, or a new relationship.

astonysh (1935) | 2 months ago | Hi,
thanks for the reply.
These things look pretty official, but could be some excellent artist at work.
The USA is still the promised land for a lot of people who may not be aware of the difficult times there. Certainly when people, unlike yourself, are going through difficult times, they may be prone to look for something better.
Given the global crisis is just that, moving anywhere has distinct disadvantages at the moment.

But I can assure you that being an atheist or a foreigner shouldn't be an issue..

astonysh (1935) | 2 months ago | Hi,
thanks for the reply.
These adverts look very official, and some would find them attractive. It tends to be my nature to be sceptical of advertising though. From what I have heard the job market is as difficult there as it is here, and you are not just going to walk straight into something.

astonysh (1935) | 2 months ago | Hi,
thanks for the reply.
Not sure I am that interested actually - it just seems weird at this very difficult time they should be trying to get people from outside the US to come, when there is a massive pool of talented people already there and currently unemployed.
