With daylight savings time change, are you still waking up on the "old" time?  |

We supposedly got an extra hour of sleep with the daylight savings time change, but instead I am waking up on old time and getting an extra hour to do stuff in the morning!! Funny how our bodies will set their own alarms!
In any case, I'm glad the time changes at this time of year in our favor. Being able to wake up a little "later" is much easier than having the hour taken away from us.

1. lologirl2021 (1639) | 1 month ago | I seem to be waking up when my body seems it is ready to wake up and that is still the time it was a week ago. I woke up this morning around 6:30 instead of 7:30, I think i would really like to wake up at 7:30 as i don't work and i don't have much to do around the house until everyone is home. I did get up and started writing an article and doing stuff her eon the internet instead of laying in bed thinking of what to do.
There of course is laundry and to empty the dishwasher today, but i think im just putting it off and not wanting to do it yet, but i have done some stuff like wrapped Christmas presents and put them in a closet that no one goes into so i can start on that and get it done and not worry about it all.

I haven't been sleeping well this past week, so I slept at a decent hour last night . . . but I woke up at 6:30 instead of 7:30 like I wanted to!!!!!! I totally wanted to sleep, but I was just wide awake . . . so I ended up getting up too (no sense in laying in bed staring at a blank wall, right - might as well be productive!). That's a good idea to start wrapping the holiday gifts . . . I should have thought of that (the gifts are stashed in our closet too).

3. dorannmwin (2061) | 1 month ago | I would probably be waking up an hour earlier if I was able to get myself to go to sleep at night. As it stands right now, I'm having problems falling asleep at night so I am still waking up at the "old" time. My goal for tonight is to go to bed earlier so that I can get up earlier in the morning tomorrow because my nieces are going to be here all day and I need to make sure that I am functional when they come for the day. Although, if I can't do it I can always lay down with them once they get here. Neither of them are morning girls either and typically go back to sleep once their mother gets them here.

5. muscles4me (8725) | 1 month ago | It seems like I never go to sleep at exactly the same time and I do have spells of sleeplessness. It is difficult for me to remain aleep for much longer than 5 hours. Sometimes I fall right back to sleep and other times I just get up an make a pot of coffee.

much2say (672) | 1 month ago | I guess the people with those internal alarm clocks are the routine sleepers - sleeping at the same time, waking up at the same time. I sleep, but I do wake up every 3 hours it seems. Wow - do you make a pot of coffee and just stay up the rest of the time?

much2say (672) | 1 month ago | Wow, muscles4me! I guess I tend to stay in bed and try to lay still . . . thinking that at some point I would fall asleep again (if I can't sleep). I know it's hard to "try" to sleep when you know you'd be more successful getting up and being productive. Well, hope you get some good sleep tonight!
