Its Time To Bring Back the Show Captain Planet.

Hey that is a really good idea, I used to watch that show alot when I was little too and I think it would be cool if they brought it back and revamped it some. I still remember the theme-song, it was quite catchy . And the show was helpful and educational on top of just being kind of fun to watch.

Yes, but let's make it a little bit more modern (sorry I was not a big fan of Captain Planet's mullet, I had one myself at one time and it just looks too eighties), let's have the four basic elements ("Heart" is not an element), and not only should children be encouraged to "save the planet", but give them reasons why they should save the planet, as in, "by recycling paper, trees can be saved, and thus the O-zone layer of our planet will stay intact" or something like that...

I loved the old Captain Planet, but I have seen the episodes time and again, and I could spot a lot of major flaws in many of the episodes and in the show itself. The children will also pick up on some of those flaws and ask a lot of questions, some being more negative than others.

My new vision for Captain Planet might be a little extreme, but it would certainly get children, teens and adults watching. I picture Captain Planet being more heroic, handsome, smart and suave (I mean let's really make him a thousand times better than he was), the catch phrases are great, but make them more up-to-date and more meaningful ("The Power is Yours" is awesome, but it can sound cheesy and lame after a while), the design for the teens is fine (but again, just a little more modern, the clothes might be made out of recycled materials or something), and make the villains a little like the "X-Men" villains (Seriously, I watched "X-Men" mostly for the villains. Magneto, Mystique and the Brotherhood just hooked you in, good villains really do make for a watchable show). Again, I liked the old show, but children, teens and adults have to really be able to relate to this show. I know that this is a cartoon (I prefer Animated Series), but if you all have seen some of the Anime and Animated shows out there today, the old Captain Planet show would barely make the cut.

I heard that "Jem" is recently getting an Anime make-over, and it is being done by the makers of "Death Note", and it is going to blow the old "Jem" out of the water.
