Why do you think we dream...?

Some say dreams are to resolve conflicts, other say dreams are to avoid future conflict; ethier way you look at it dreams are a very powerfull and mysterious wonder that may never truly be understood...

It's heard to tel but all I can say that it must be some complex mechanism of brain function... isn't it..?

Hi pads007, I have always been interested in dreams and feel that we should pay more attention to them. I know sometimes it just seems to be mumbo jumbo and make no sense at all but we can train ourselves to remember our dreams, and in time we can get a lot of help from them. Some people believe that the spirit actually leaves the body when we dream, while others think we look at the things that have happen to us since we last slept. In any case, it's all very interesting. Blessings.

No one really understands why we dream. There is conjecture that it is a built in defense mechanism in dealing with stress. But dreams are much more than that.

In Bible times dreams were prophetic and were used to reveal future occurrences. There are people today that have had dreams that have come true. I myself have had dreams that had some future truth to them and did occur but not necessarily in exact detail.

One thing is clear, dreams are a mechanism of our mind and emotions. A troubled mind often dreams weird and nightmarish dreams. There are people who dream of loved ones far away who are in danger or a stressful situation.

What and why a person dreams seems to have a uniqueness to the individual as well as some commonality. There are some who claim they do not dream...though many times it is just that they do not remember the dream. Perhaps one day we will understand more fully why we dream and what meaning dreams have for us.

I remember seeing an old movie once where dreams were actually the reality and what we know as reality was actually the dream state. Now there is a weird thing to ponder.

hi pads, i can not explain why we dream, and i hate dream at night, unfortunately i dream often at night, sometimes i know it is so falimar with. it seems that i have happened to this situation, or i realize that i have happened into this situation in my dream. how mysterious. i often had nightmares, and it scared me awake, too horrible. happy mylotting:)
