Would you take in a stray cat or dog?

No I wouldn't. We have a dog and it affects my breathing so I wouldn't want another & my husband has an allergy to cats. If I lived alone, I'd take the cat

My first baby was actually a stray to start with. We found her along with the mother and the other eight puppies. I couldn't stand to part with Michela, but all of her siblings and the mother ended up at the pound. Again, if I were to come across a stray, I would more than likely take it in. I am an animal lover and both of my children are animal lovers. My daughter even wants to be a vet when she grows up, so she is constantly trying to bring strays into the house.

I to love animals but mostly dogs . I do not like an animal to go hungry so I do feed them something if I can. I really do not want to keep them but maybe find them a home. It cost alot to feed them. I have had strays before . I try not to take them in but only if I had no choice.

I have taken in six feral cats over the last ten years, and one shaggy furball of a dog (aka The Honcho ). But I do not take in nor try to be responsible for more than I am able. My animals have a good home, food, and love. Two of my six rescued felines have died of old age some years back. At that time I made room for my baby girl Piper the calico brat. I get them shots, well fed, and a home. The other strays out there will just have to find their human to adopt as well. Sorry if it sounds a little cold. Yet I am honest in saying it.

I guess you can say that I already did. About 4 years back i was heading out to a friend of mines and as I was headed up the hill two dogs came running from the side of the road and I almost hit them so i pulled over to get them off the road and they ended up jumping in my car and didn't want to leave so I went ahead and took them over to my friends and then tried looking for the original owners but had no luck so I ended up keeping one dog and she ended up keeping the other. She has been a great dog, she is a good listener and great with the kids especially my daughter who just loves to lay and paw all over her all the time. We are not allowed any more pets but if I had a place where I could keep more pets I would most definitely take in more strays..

I would rather take in a stray rather than buy in pet shops.these strays are neglected.they once had a family who loved them,but for some reason abandoned them.I would rather spend on the things the dog/cats needs,like food,toys,and vet check-ups.if I have a huge house and a hug yard,you will see a lot of dogs running around,and they are all strays.I've read that strays are much sweeter than those bought from pet shops.they are more thankful for giving them a chance to live and love.

There are many cats who wonder around here and I would certainly bring them in. I already have two cats, so if it became a problem, I would take it to our local no-kill shelter, Operation Kindness, so it could get a good home if I couldn't do it, someone else could. I am considering getting a small or baby dog soon to introduce to the cats from our local shelter. Hopefully that goes well and I don't try to bring them ALL home! Lol (:
