Where is the oddest place you have ever fallen asleep?

In elementary school I fell asleep on the back of the school bus, and ended up at the local high school. My mom ended up pulling into the bus parking zone, in which case all the bus drivers started yelling at her. My mother being the terrible demon witch that she is, proceeded to curse out the bus drivers, stomp onto the bus, only to find me sleeping in the back of it. I love my mommy:)

That's funny! Your boyfriend left you in the closet for an hour! haha!. Your story reminds me of the film "Narnia", you know the girl hides in the closet with winter coats?! hehe!

Anyway, mine is not really weird/odd or is it? I got so tired from work... I took a bus going home and I fell asleep. Then after awhile I heard some noise, the bus driver said it was their "last stop". I realized that I was "gazillion miles" away from home and I started to get worried (i was in another city). I took a cab and I got home safely. I spent 800 pesos on my way home (the taxi meter reach that..) where in fact I only spend 25 pesos for transportation allowance.

I imagined the situation and had a good laugh. Thank God you were not caught. But one thing I'm sure, we can sleep, standing up. Long back when I was young, I attended a cousin's wedding. We had so much fun, didn't sleep properly for two nights. I was very tired going back home in an over crowded train. Somehow I couldn't keep my eyes open..My head banged several times on other people standing, and someone feeling pity gave me a seat.I might have looked so pathetic, some offered help to reach home from the station. They thought I was ill. I can never forget that sleep.

hi paintswithwords lovely user name. anyway I fell asleep on the bus and the driver had to wake me and tell me I had gone past my stop at Tempe,so I had to get back on the bus and go the other direction to Tempe. the bus only went from Phoenix to tempe then Mesa then turned around to go back to Phoenix. mesa was just a few miles further down the road than Tempe so it only took twenty minutes to get back to Tempe. I was working in Phoenix as a nurse's aide and living in Tempe. I really felt so foolish but the driver was kind and just amused at me. I had had a rough day and was really tired.

I can easily imagine you in that cupboard! Didn't he get into trouble for skipping school, or was it only you who did that?

Nothing strange here, but I did sleep, many years ago, where I certainly wouldn't now. I'm going back 56 years to a time when it was safe to leave houses and cars unlocked and to camp on a road by yourself. Not so now!

I never stayed in the house for any longer than was absolutely necessary, so immediately after work I would hop on my motor bike or in the car and just keep going. I was safe there and no one could harm me.

At the weekends, I would ride or drive down the highway to the capital. It was then at least an 8 hour drive and some of it was dirt road. I would just drive round the main street of the city and head back again. Most weekends, when tired, I would pull into a rest area for a while. If I was on the bike, I would sleep on the wooden camping table there - no hassle.

Not an odd place, but not what I would consider doing these days.

Mine what an adventurous teenage life you had.I don't fall asleep that easily in odd and uncomfortable places.For me to sleep,I need a cosy place.A place thats noise free & peaceful is a must for me.But my son is like you,he can fall asleep & start snoring any where like a train or in the classroom with ease

The oddest place i think i have fallen asleep is my back garden during summer. Now i dont mean a copuple of hours but rather the whole night, which is what really shocked me the most. London doesnt have the best summers to say the least but for some reason i fell a sleep the whole night, woke up the next morning and tried to find out how i got in my garden as i was sure i was in my bed.

I would have to say that when I was dating my husband I was at his office one night helping him with some work.. We were so tired that we ended up dozing off on the couch there and never woke up until the next morning when the other employees starting walking in for work.. Pretty embarrasing

I haven't had a situation where I had to hide. But I have fallen asleep in the middle of really loud parties, which is funny.

I am from India. It was during one of my travel. My train got late, and so missed the connecting train. It was almost 11pm and had no other alternatives to reach my city. I remeber those were cold days of December and temperature was just 2 degree. No other options like hotel etc was available due to curfew outside. Next train was in morning 5am and so had to sleep on the bench at railway station. That was terrific experience.
