how long hair your child?

This is a question I need to solve now. I have a 3 years old daughter. She does not keep long hair before. My mom and especially my mother in law don't like my daughter to keep long hair. They said short hair easy to manage and the kid does not feel hot. It is true, my daughter easy to sweat.
So now she grows elder I think of want to keep her hair longer, she always have short hair and now it is going to reach her shoulder length. But my mother in law keeps asking me to bring her to cut her hair, I feel so hard to decide. I wish to let her keep long hair. I see many of my friends' daughters with long hair and they look beautiful, LOL.

Lately I see my daughter has some rashes near her forehead and my hub also see that. He has 'order' me to bring her to cut her hair shorter,

Wow, if I have a daughter, I will ensure that she keep long hair
so that I can tie and decorate her with all kinds of hair clips,
ribbons and bows. But I do not have the chance since
I only have a son.

However, I personally think that it is good to let the child (girl)
to keep long hair if we thinks it is manageable. If we can't manage
it well, they tends to sweat and get rashes. Short hair easy to shampoo
too. Perhaps wait till they get bigger. I know we all like to see girls
look pretty with long hair and tie up many fashions...

My little girl didn't really start growing hair until she was two, and when she did it was very curly just like mine. So far she has had two trims and her hair is barely past her shoulders. She wants long hair, but it don't seem to want to cooperate. The more it grows, the curlier it gets making it actually appear shorter. Pretty much I don't want to control the way her hair is, so I let her decide. As long as it isn't too drastic (she's only 7) I tend to let her have her way.
