DO you respond to a discussion expecting best response?

Hi venkittaraman.
I do not respond to a discussion expecting best response. My answers are not so long because it's hard for me to say everything, that I want to say in discussions, because of my English - that is not reason to not answering discussions.
Why 'wining' best response in discussion is so important?

NO..I will not expect the best response while responding to some discussions.There is no need to lean towards their view just to get the best response or the positive rating. My most of responses have been rated as negative only..But I can not change myself for that..If everyone is agreeing the others, then there is no use of starting the discussion at all..There should be some controversial thoughts also. Else we may not be able to know the other side of some issues.But there are members in mylot, who are willing to appreciate the fact..I have got many BRs from such members..

I don't ever expect best response neither I look for it. I just reply to the discussions I think I have something to say and that it worths writing and sharing.

I just go and respond.and normally I respond in a joyful manner rather than very serious....but this works better I guess..as I got BRs from discussions that I did not expect....

when i respond in the discussions, i just write what i feel and what's on my mind & not thinking about getting the BR...
but if they give me that mark i always appreciate it.

No. I respond to any discussions without the hope of getting a best response. I would be very lucky and thankful if I'm given the best repsonse. I respond to discusiion if that discussion interests me.

actually i try to respond as neat as i can.and frankly i like getting best response but not expecting every time.
and opposing views:i write my view doesnot care its in favour or not

No I don't aim for best response. I don't even think about it until I see a discussion I want to respond to that has already given out best response and it's only been an hour or two.

It bugs me that people give out a best response so fast and it's usually to a friend that had nothing to add to the discussion.

I always try to write the best response I can but it's not with getting the best response.

It does excite me when I get best response just becuase I don't usually even think about it.

well i don't give responses expecting a best response but i certainly become happy when the discussion starter chooses my answer as the best, well it shouldn't be that way i mean just for the sake of getting a best response we should not always support the discussion starter, i say what i feel, sometimes we need to disagree... after all that what makes a discussion interesting.

Best Response is the last that I think of. I on many occassions happen to forget that there is something called a Best Response. And then I remember it again when I end the response when I see the BR mark.
I have never ever in my life worked or answered for a Best Response. It depends on each person to person if to give a Best Response or not. I have got about 3-4 in about 13-14 months. But honestly, I don't remember as to to how many person have given a Best Response.
