Simple Minds.............

I think it takes someone with a complicated mind to make something complex simple.
Or, maybe it takes a simple mind to make something complicated. Or, maybe I am just trying to get you good and confused so that I can imagine you sitting at your desk, scratching your head, trying to figure out what I am talking about.

Simple minds may be easily amused but it takes an intelligent mind to see the humor in some of things that go on today. And truly humor can be found in many things. So no, I don't think you can measure intelligence by how often or how easily someone laughs.

Now I really have to go to work. Twelve hour days are to get done. I'll be back this evening so look for me then because I have some catching up on the lot to do.

Hiya Irish, well, i KNOW the hubs is wrong on this one.. I know alot of very intelligent people, My sister one of them & she laughs very easily at many things.. Joyful, you're definitely joyful, not simple minded. I don't know if I would have laughed at that, but I would have smiled!

I think there are times when we all have a whimsical moment...I also think it's good for us, it keeps us young.

**STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I think the smartest people find the smallest, simplest things to bring them joy, smiles, and peace.

I feel peace when I see the full moon playing with the clouds. I laugh at my little one saying boo. I cry at sappy songs.

The simple things can make huge things easier to take. A simple hello from a long quiet friend eases the pain of the good bye of another pal. Do you know what I mean?

Personally I believe that there are trace elements of crack in Texan drinking water, but no one's fessed up to it yet. Even without that angle though, there's joy, beauty and or/humour in most things if we only allow ourselves to see it! I pity the person that CAN'T ever see the funny side of life, the simple pleasures; or the beauty in all things around them! Never change that aspect of yourself Irish, for it's these little joys and humorous bursts of happiness that ultimately keep us balanced and sane!

I giggle to myself all the time, I suppose it could be dismissed as dementia, but I'm on the young side for that.

I find joy in the most simple of things...a dog rolling or running in a "zingo" fashion (full tilt, 100 MPH zig zag run). cracks me up!

I think it's hard to wrap up in just a few words. Beings how just joined the being able to laugh out of enjoyment stages I think that being able to laugh is an outward projection of inner joy. It's the finding joy in little things that keep the heart light.

I know the saying simple minds are easily amused, but don't agree with that at all. I think it takes a person with a quick mind and easy heart to be able to see things and associate them with simplier pleasures. So simple minds are amused, it's the creative mind that is always working.

I think it is all up to a mood or personality. Some people look on the brighter side of things and see joy in simpler things, others see a lot of negatives and very rarely see any joy in anything. I don't think it has anything to do with intelligence...

However I will say that those who see the brighter side, and see joy in simple things are obviously much happier than anyone else... that doesn't sound dumb to me!
