Has your Computer Hard Disk space enough for you....??

I never feel like I have enough memory on my hard drive. I keep upgrading to a bigger GB but I run out of room fast. Its probably because of all my pictures from my digital camera that I dowload onto my computer thats hogging all of my space

well first of all i would like to say 320GB hard disk is enough of home or personal usage. Because in home use we dont have little data to save.
i think you will be shoked to listn that i have only 20GB hard disk. Its fullfil my needs and its enough for me. i mostly use internet and i dont need anything to save in Hard Disk..

oh, as what i see you're an advanced user if you have your downloads, maybe your downloads mostly include games, musics, installers, and other data that requires a large room for data storage, right?,, i'm also an advanced user, i'm a pc technician, and as of now again studying, i have 80GB of HDD, just like you, i'm having a difficulty on storage of data,, but for me i can manage to have my data not only on my HDD, i burn the data into cds and dvds to get rid of lacking of space to my HDD. that's true that for home users 20 or 40 GB is good, for advanced users 160 to 320GB, for power users 320 and up... maybe you're a power users...

nah, i don't have much space at my original hard disk that's why i bought a TB disk.lol I do store plenty of videos, psd files, tunes of course, and photos!

it was never enough, and, will never be... I started with 20 MB... yes, check it again, I really wrote 20 MB and meant it... back in 1993... it was a 286 machine... since then, it was always little shorter than necessary... presently, I too have a 320 GB one and often feel, a 500 GB one would be better...

I have experienced the same.. I had 80 GB hard disk when I bought my System right now I am having 320 GB Hard disk in laptop + 160 GB external hard disk but then too all are 90% used.:( but before we use to write CDs (!!) and delete the files and now even after DVD (Sometimes dual layer dvd) burn successfully we don't dare to delete files. lots of songs.. thousands of softwares (every version) we are not deleting and that's only reason for computer hard disk problem:-)

Yup, same here, I'm still using 40gb hard disk and it's not the new ones here, I think they call it IDE right? The new ones with a lot of memory like yours are called SATA? I wanted to buy another so that I could install a lot of applications and games but I don't have enough money. My available space is about 5gb only. LOL. Happy mylotting.

LOL this is okay, but i want to know what do you download? that actually takes up that much space.

My computer has 80 gb, and i have an external hard drive which is 160 gb, to me which is a very small portable memory device. And this years christmas i am deciding to buy a Terabyte (1000GB) external hard drive, i can fill up with games and tons of movies.!!!! YOu should buy one too, its gonna be cheaper at Xmas!

I would expect 320 Gb to more than adequate for a laptop, so I can only assume that you are storing a vast amount of music and video on the hard drive. This can easily be rectified by storing it on an external drive.
As for having enough space, I am sure that we would all like to have more whether we need it or not. With the current hard drives holding up to 2 Tb of data we could build a computer with 6 or 8 Tb of storage, but you could still fill the drives and reach the same situation.

A computer with only 40 GB hard disk is really a bit too small. But now, I have 250 GB hard disk in my laptop, which is enough for me.

It is obvious that 250 GB can meet my needs. You see, I don't have some data to save. Usually, I often store some favourite movies, songs and some pictures. Among all data, movies have taken up much place of my hard disk. If I don't try to save these movies, there may have plenty of spare space.
