The Gemstone that you feel most drawn too,your favourite?

Man's fascination with gemstones began in prehistoric times. Through the centuries, gems have been sought after, treasured, and endowed with various mystic, curative, and protective powers. Whether they are viewed as beautiful products of nature or are analyzed for atomic arrangement, crystal structure, or properties, the fascination with gems continues today.

Beauty, rarity, and durability are the three main attributes that a mineral or other material must possess to qualify as a gemstone. Aside from these attributes, gemstones are a varied lot. For the most part, they are minerals.

My favourite is the Ruby.Such a beautiful shade of red. I envision myself wearing an emerald green dress with a huge ruby encrusted necklace.I also have a fascination for this gemstone since I saw the Wizard of Oz in my childhood & those Ruby slippers given to Dorothy.
Also yellow topaz with atleast 3 carats is said to have genuine powers & benefits.But the problem these days is were can you get genuine gemstones for them to work?

What is your favourite gemstone or which one due you prefer or use?...has it worked wonders for you? There are so many gemstones like labradorite, moonstone onyx, diamond, Turquoise,yellow topaz, Peridote, Hematite, they have mystical powers Opal,Pearl,sapphire, amber, coral, ivory.
