Most girl like to wear 2 piece bikini than one piece in the time of swimming why

I think its a simple suit that woman wear in the time of swimming. Two types of woman wear are there. But bikini is more popular now. So I just want to now the cause behind the popularity of bikini. And the line I think it's to get more suntan on the body. I could not get the meaning. I think you elaborate this.

There is more exposure from the sun on the body. Also, the tan lines look better from a bikini compared to a one piece when naked.
