Have you ever watch something die? |
|
I have watched my fish die before. My favorite fish was dying because the other fish were picking on it. It got weaker everyday and it's fins were damaged from other fish nipping at. I wished I could do something so bad. My fish looked miserable. I felt so sorry for it. I watched her day to day. I wanted to put her in a different tank but did not have an extra one. All I could do was hope she would be strong enough to survive. I saw here die in front of my eyes. It broke my heart to see my favorite fish die like that. I recently bough another fish like her and she is doing ok. Noone has picked on her yet. I am hoping it stays that way.

1. Wizzywig (2887) | 2 months ago | My sons pet rabbit died in my arms. It was a little grey lop-eared bundle and I was feeding her with a dropper when she just shuddered and stopped breathing. I cried. Unfortunately, I have also seen a few people die.

I had to watch one of my cats be put to sleep! It was the saddest thing for me. That cat was one of my best friends. But we all have to be strong, it's the circle of life.

5. Binthu (3440) | 2 months ago | Hi Tucker,
When we are seeing the death in direct it would gives us good lesson about the life, because the death is only one thing which would give so many thoughts to our mind, and also we would feels our self about the life . The life is too shorter so better to live in this life at very useful ways and also try to helps to needy and poor peoples before to die. I am seeing many more death in this world, and all the death would teach me a good lesson like " We does not have anything when we were born, similarly we does not taker anything with us when we were die "
Have a nice day.

6. MarkieSparks7 (296) | 2 months ago | I've witnessed quite a few animals die over the years, mostly of which if not all were pets. Some went by the hands of the veterinarian which my mom and well a lot of people I guess always refer to being put to sleep which I never really got because they never wake up from this slumber. But I guess it sounds better than hey I had my cat killed by lethal injection. Also I should mention though that we never had any of our animals killed like they were some kind of criminals on death row, no it was always to end their pain and suffering when there was absolutely no hope for them and instead of letting them linger on and on in excruciating pain and misery only to die days later they got a shot and peacefully drifted off. I think that's humane, and I think people should definitely have that option too. I mean why should somebody with a terminal disease with no hope who is on their death bed be forced to suffer a horrible fate of torture until they finally kick off from this planet? The other pets I had to watch die naturally and they included everything from dogs to cats to guinea pigs and gerbils and it's not that pleasant necessarily to watch a pet who you care about pump and twitch for breath and howl out in pain and die while you are helpless to do anything for it. I'm not sure if I have ever seen a person die because twice before I have seen relatives in the hospital and while they sorta died, to me they were already dead before I got there only being kept alive if you could call it that by a machine. Like my grandpa I remember the nurse said there was nothing that could be done and he was basically dead and it was only the machine doing something or another I don't really recall as I was really young.

7. trisha27 (499) | 2 months ago | I've never watched anything die, or well for that fact actually die. I almost watched my cat die. I actually was able to do some things to help nurse her back to health. But she was so close to death. And the fact that I was able to help her, was a good feeling. And I think because I did not give up on her she didn't give up on her life.
Aw, thats a sad story that you sat and watched your fish die though. I almost started crying. Good thing though that you have another fish just like her though.

8. bryandairogarcia (193) | 2 months ago | I had a salt water aquarium at home and there were quite a number of fishes there that I individually picked. I liked each one of them but most of all I liked the 'clown fish' I named 'Nemo'. He was the smallest fish in the tank and because the setup was artificial, I could not really put up corals for protection.
As I put in more fishes, I realized not all of them liked one another. One day I found 'nemo' dead and all its fins torn. The bigger fish was even eating it up if I had not put in the net to pick up the dead fish:(

9. margieanneart (16820) | 2 months ago | It's very sad to watch something you love die. I have seen my fish die. And I had to put animals to sleep. One was put to sleep in my arms. It was very difficult. All fish seem to peck on fish with fins. So you might want to separate them. Good luck.
