2. MrNiceGuy (3071) | 2 months ago | If the words and spirit of the music are not sacriligious, why does it matter? I don't understand why you would think there was an issue with redemption about music beats...

And the way i look at it, these bands are proud to be "Christians" but their lifestyle isn't what they seem to be. their dresses are all black, etc... if you'd look at them it's just like you're looking at an anti-Christ. I know what they're trying to show or prove, and i don't think it's a good idea that they'd push it through. Don't be a hypocrite.

| masskara19 (34) | 2 months ago | i think that's hypocrisy. come to think of it, are songs all about lyrics? isn't it that the melody also speaks for itself? you said that it doesn't matter as long as the spirit of the music isn't sacrilegious. well let me tell you this, metal music is an expression of anger that's why it sounds that way. imagine yourself proposing to the girl of your dreams through a song with heartfelt emotional lyrics of how much you love her but accompanied by distorted guitars, double pedals and a lot of screaming, do you think it shows how you truly feel about her? my point here is, if you want to sing songs of worship, do it in the right way and not use some other genre to look "cool". i'm a fan of metal music but using it that way, i think that's just plainly stupid.

3. Hatley (21884) | 2 months ago | Zipdez hi no no that would not be good and it seems blasphemous to me. how can Christian lyrics fit into that trashy clashy music, that is beyond me.I know I would not want to listen to metal music no matter what lyrics there were. I detest metal music.

| zipdez (39) | 2 months ago | yeah i agree with you hatley. if you were to play a christian song, it's has to be something solemn. I'm a musician too but hell no way i'm going to play metal music with a Christian lyrics. What if the pope wants that band to be the choir in a mass? I'm pretty sure they'd be getting a very wrong image on that. singing a heavy or death metal music in a mass? Think of it guys. It's cool to experiment with genres, but Christian lyrics plus death-metal music? NOT cool!!!
