Scams In The MyLot Tasks  |

 A few weeks ago there were taks asking for a donation through paypal to earn as much as $10.
I suppose everyone has now received the alert to avoid these type of tasks as they are almost always a scam.
I read a discussion where one member did it and received her pay.
But who knows what could have been done to your pay pal account?
I am glad I chose not to do it.(I am not saying that this one in paticular was a scam because I fdo not know).
This just goes to show you no matter where you are you have to be safe.
People are everywhere trying to get what they can from you.

1.  xfahctor (5115) | 4 weeks ago |  the scam may not be in that you don't recieve the money...it is probably in that once you make the donation, they may now have access to your pay pal account. I could not say for certain what method they use or how they do it, but this is most likely what they are doing and it is far worse than simply not paying you for a task.

Thats why I am glad I didn't do it and hope those that did will be ok.

Sometimes when I see these tasks I wonder why people are wanting us to do some of the things anyway.
Hopefully it will bring more awareness to everyone on here so noone will be scammed. | |

I've had a few bad experiences with tasks from other MyLot members, so whenever I try to do tasks, I usually pick ones by people I know I can trust - AKA Sharon Bucks. It's true - you CAN never be too careful these days, especially with all the scams that we know of on the internet. I think it was nice of MyLot to send us that courtesy message. Some people (such as those who fell for the scam) need that reminder on occasion.

The fact is that you should be alert towards these scams. I mean no person will just risk 10$. There may be some reason for it. Try to realise it, and you will be much safer.
