Do you know how to study Japanese?  | | Many English major students have problems in learning Japanese.They can not use Japanese influently and they couldn't remember Japanese words,or whan they speak Japanese words,it just sounds like they are speaking English instead. | | | | | | 1. inedible (185) | 2 months ago | Practice a lot. It doesn't matter what language you're learning, the best way to be better at it is to practice a lot. Memorising the words isn't enough. You have to keep saying them and having practice conversations with friends.
I'm learning Japanese right now, and I'm finding regular conversations to be a big help, even if most of the conversations include lots of long pauses while I (or my partner) try to remember how to say stuff.

| | | 2. zhangscu (58) | 1 month ago | I found from your profile that you are from China. Chinses students tend to ignore the importance of Japanese Tango and Choukai, esp non-Japanese majors. It is an important task for the teacher to convince the students the importance of them.
As for the pronunciation, I think the tongue behaves in quite different manners when one is speaking English and Japanese. Maybe the word "soft" is for English and "tough" for Japanese pronunciation.
