What do you like to take as a Starter in Restaurant??

I thought this was a practice of westerners especially....and some Asians do that but not very common in this area....I have many Indian and lankan friends but we never much care about a starter and a main coarse and so on....

Generally no starter is required for me. I am habituated to the main course direct.

When eating at home, it is very rare that we have starters. If we ever have one before the main course, it is usually green mangoes with shrimp paste or just rock salt. In a restaurant, though, I usually have a salad or something fried like calamari rings with salsa.

i usually take chicken lollypop and salad as my starter.

i seldom go to restaurant nowadays.

before my baby was born,myself and my hubby go to restaurant on every week end.

but now we find it quiet hard to manage him in the restaurant.

so we prefer take away from restaurants.

chicken is my favourite.so i go for chicken as my starter.

i have a very nice restaurant nearby to my house.

so we find it easy to get it.

As a starter i would like to take soup followed by salad in a restaurant.

In our country, starters aren't really a big thing. However, whenever I am really hungry (haha), I eat soup. Usually, I like cream-based soups. Yum!

When we eat at home we hardly ever eat a starter, we just go straight to the main course. When I eat at a restaurant I sometimes eat a starter, it depends how hungry I am. Some people prefer to eat a starter and the main course, but I usually prefer to eat the main course and a dessert, because I love sweet things Shrimp cocktails, salads or soups are common starters in my country. When we have a big party we sometimes have soup as a starter, some kind of meat or fish as the main course and icecream or cheese for dessert.

I generally have something to share like one of those sharer things. If I am having something different to the other people with me or if we aren't having a sharer then it's usually something like Garlic Bread or a salad.

I like to take salad and soup as my starter.
