How old are you when you drink beer first...???

I am not really a drinker but I had my first taste of beer when I was around 4 or 5 (maybe earlier but I really can't remember). My father and my uncles love to give us children a taste of beer from a young age because they say it will prevent us from wanting it when we get older. They say it will make us not want to taste it anymore since we've tasted it already when we were younger. True enough, i never liked the taste of it and never dared drinking. I was taught about the bad effects so I never really desired ever tasting it again.:D

Hi. i know the first drink beer when there is a party at my home. which was held by my parents. And at the time i saw a lot of beer bottles are still intact. My brother and i then tried to open and try to drink beer. An i was surprised, very bitter taste. At that time i was seven years old. And the second time during high school graduation, i and my friends held a farewell party and drink beer have been provided. And finally i drink beer for second time I drink until the bottles run out, untill finally drunk. The first time was drunk, was drunk very good, there is no fear at all. an finally everyday i drink and become addicted but now i have been free from alcohol addiction, until now i never touched alcoholic beverages such as beer. i choose a glass of water which was better for the health of the body. have a nive day

I think i was 15 when i first had a taste of a beer. But it was just a glass of beer.I was just tasting it coz i got curious what it tastes like.

Even though many of my day and night buddies are alcoholic but when they are drunk i beat them like hell if they try to come near me, dont know why but the smell makes my eyes wet and THE great urge for a vomit .
I am cold chain smoker though and if even i share a cigarette with a drunk mate, i am gonna cough a lot saliva out!!!
It smell so filthy, but i am with the kids in every tiniest party they make!

I've had my first taste of beer when I was under 5 years old. Like one of the posters above me said,it might possibly prevent us from wanting it when we get older. I'm 25 now and I rarely touch alcohol, I don't feel the need to drink it. In fact I grew up around drugs and such and I've never touched it and I hopefully never will touch drugs. (even medical)

I drank beer for the first time when I was 16 and in high school. I absolutely hated the taste so I didn't drink it again until college. Once in college I started drinking vodka my freshman year and thought shots were the best and beer was for guys but then at some point Natty and me became best friends. Plus it didn't help that I ended up having 2 guy roommates that were huge into trying the really nice beers so my taste buds ended up accepting the taste.

LOL Well it's probably a good thing that you haven't yet been exposed to alcohol, as it can be a dangerous thing - especially with those of us who are underage. I personally started drinking, usually hard liq.uor - back in high school - probably when I was 15. I didn't actually start drinking beer until lately, and that's just because it's cheaper and more socially acceptable, more "relaxing" and enjoyable than taking a shot (although I used to find that enjoyable, too, for some weird reason). I am 19, now, and I just started LIKING beer. The taste always takes getting used to - because at first, it smelled DISGUSTING to me and I didn't want to be anywhere near it. Now, I really almost like it.*shrugs*. At any rate, don't feel rushed into drinking. Some people..don't even ever start drinking beer until middle age. So don't feel bad if you don't drink, it's actually something to be proud of!

Hi Tushavi, I still remember during my childhood, my dad liked to prepare a couple bottles of bear on the dinner table when having grand festive meal. After placing the full glasses of bear for my mom and his own self, he then would pour a quarter of bear into the glasses of the three siblings of us. We were told to learn to take some bear and get used of it. This was to avoid we would get drunk in case we had to take alcoholic drinks when grown up. He always worried it would be a high risk if we would get drunk easily when having meal outside, especially for young girl He would increase the amount of bear to our glass gradually later on. Anyway he advised us not to take excessive alcoholic drinks as it's not good for our healthy. This means I start drinking bear during my early childhood

I had my first beer when I was 17.I was college at that time.I didn't get drunk.I just had my taste of beer.lucky for me I haven't been drunk.I drink in moderation.

I tried my first beer... hmm. My dad probably let me taste some of his when I was a pre-teen. I remember stealing beer from him and hiding it at parties with my friends, although we never actually drank enough for it to do anything to us. I didn't drink much through high school or my first year of college. I got drunk for the first time when I was 19, I think.
