Christmas - Big family gathering or quiet one?  | |  With all minds on saving money and recession doom and gloom I was wondering how will everyone be spending their christmas? Will you have a large family gathering with all the trimmings and lots of gifts? Will it be on a smaller scale this year? Has the recession changed how you will celebrate this year. I would usually go to family homes or have family to my home. This year I have moved abroad and my husband and I will be having a quiet christmas together in our new home. Maybe have a couple of friends to dinner but thats it. How about you what will your christmas be like this year?

As far as Christmas Eve, however, it will probably be the same as it always is. We will travel to my husband's family home and celebrate with his parents and brothers and then we will travel to Ohio to celebrate with my aunts, uncles, and cousins. Granted, we won't be giving as many gifts as we have in the past, but the thing that is the most important to me is to be able to spend time with family.
