care home search for father on benefits with no savings related to uk only

i did a search of care homes for my father, but they all want lots of money like £500 a week upwards. and he only lives in a council house and has no savings. so the payments would only come out of his benefits and whatever the council pay i guess. i certainly cant afford to pay for it. how do i do a search for care homes that accept elderly on benefits with no collaterol at all? or can they go into these expensive care homes where the councils pay or something? if anyone knows anything about this subject please advise? as i dont have a clue to be honest. all father gets is his pension and dla. thats all.
