 Here are my neighbors dogs. Smokie, the dark German Shorthair, is the one I dog sit for and about 13 years old. The other one is Sky, a labordoodle,(sp?)is younger, about maybe 4-5 years old and has a sweet personality.
Now for over a year Smokie has come over and knocks on our door to get in for a treat or a petting. (knock is really him just hitting our door with his paw) Sky on the other hand would come over and just stand there. Well recently I heard a doggie knock and it was Sky and since then she knocks. So now when I hear that "doggie knock", I don't know who it is..
Remember, these dogs live in different homes and comes over at different times, yet the younger dog learned to knock..Isn't that funny?

Because I know when dogs live together they pick up on what other dogs do, but this is the first time I seen separate dogs learn from another..I think it's cool, I love both these dogs..I call them my "foster dogs" because we can't afford a dog right now.. | |

2.  ladym33 (5665) | 2 months ago |  That is really cool. I love that your neighbor dogs come over to visit you and get treats. That is so cute. Dogs can be really smart. My next door neighbor has a large fence as do we in the back ground so the dogs can not get out, but when ever she brings her dog out front the first thing she does is to run over here and visit me. She is so cute, I love that little dog. If she gets out or runs off my neighbor knows she has come over here to visit me. Of coure I bring her right home, after I pet and cuddle her for a couple of minutes.
