Have you ever ate cookie dough raw?

Yeah when girl scouts or anyone would sell cookie dough in those big bowls I would buy them and just eat it plain. It's soo good I can never get enough of it. And I sometimes buy those choc chip cookies already made just pop in the oven. I wold open the package and just eat it like that without baking it. Bad habit I know but I don't always do it. it's really good tho!

I have red some articles about eating raw dough specifically eating cookie dough straight from the package and it says that it could cause some health problem, one is having salmonella aside from getting serious stomach aches. And it says that you may get some kind of "worm" from eating raw dough. Its raw egg component is obviously a main factor why it may bring some type of disease. But as you said you don't care of the possible side effects that you may get from eating this kind of stuff. I just hope you don't get sick my friend.

Yes I also love to eat cookie dough. I was not aware that there was some sort of health issues that have to do with it though. When I buy or make cookie dough from scratch, I always bake the cookies first then eat what's left over. I have never bught/made cookie dough just to eat it.lol. I think it would be to much for me.

I always eat raw cookie dough. I remember as a kid when we made cookies we would*taste* the batter and lick the bowls out. I lov the taste of it but yes Ive been told its bad for you but Im sure a little amount is fine.

Growing up, my mom always told me that eating raw dough or batter would give me a tummy ache, so I just have it in my mind that it's not good for you. I do admit that I loved taking a lick of cake batter, but not cookie dough. I know that eating raw eggs is not good for you, so that's always in mind too when I bake. So for me my brain stops me from eating anything with raw eggs in it - including batter and cookie dough.

Yes, I still eat raw cookie dough. I think about half of mine make it to the oven to be cooked because I also like baked cookies fresh out of the oven. So I guess I just like both.

so the main health reason beyone calories in cookie dough is the salmonila that may be present in eggs but nowadays all eggs in commercial products are pasturized so as to not contain harmfull bacteria such as that tho it is still possible just extremely unlikely. homemade cookie dough has more of a chance of making you sick from salmonila but the chances of getting an infected egg are very low. we just live in a worrywort society that makes every precaution however small the chance of the happening:)

lol, you go girl. it really not good for you, you could get very sick. from
Salmonella, ( raw eggs ) . make you some raw cookie dough, don't put the raw eggs in. and eat all you want. I do that for my grand daughter all the time.
