Would YOU Pay $1.48 For ONE Slice Of Cheese?

I don't often shop as my hubby does it for me but when I was able I always make sure what I buy and if that sort of things happen to I would give back the whole and walk out, that is extortion.

Yes I have had this to happen to me too when it came to cheese. I ended up paying their stupid price. But guess what, I didn't get my cheese even after I paid that stupid price for it. I threw a fit and didn't want anything from there and got a full refund. I think they think that we will take whatever they dish out to us because of who they are..

I have paid to get extra stuff on my sub from subway but it is only a dollar.
having to pay for cheese without getting the egg is just stupid... but everyone is out to make a buck these days. so it's not really shocking that they wanted to charge you for a slice of cheese. soon they were probably start charging for everything!

Thats too damn much. After all if you would want a biscuit with bacon and egg since there is no such thing as that on the menu they ring it up as bacon, egg and cheese bisucit and then hit the no cheese button and the price is the same. I went to the delit in the grocery store and ordered 4 slices of pepper jack cheese and the price was 74 cents(it was on sale for $4.99 a pound). I know dairy products have really gone up but BK buys in such high volumes they do not pay near what I paid for 4 slcies.

Yes, it doesn't seem fair that they hike up the price just for adding one extra thing to a burger or sandwich. I have been to fast food places where they just add one more ingredient and increase the price by a lot. Its a good thing they were nice enough to take out the cheese for you. I would've just brought my own cheese slices to add by myself. lol.

I've been charged service costs in Germany, a simple hot chocolate cost like 3 euros there, while the quality was crap and the waiter was an absolute jerk. So in the end I paid for something I did want but did not get: service. Here in the Netherlands the service is always crap but at least you don't pay for it, not even forced tips, nothing.

The things these fast food outlets do is ridiculous. In both KFC and McDonalds they do not serve water, and we are forced to buy the coke or pepsi or the bottled water.This is one of the most irritating thing which I have come across, and most of the people, who dine there do not care or bother about it.

I do not feel this is right but is nothing you can do.

I think I'd rather make them at home, save a bundle and have what I want and how I want it minus the chance of hair or spit getting on it...and no I wouldn't pay that for a slice of cheese.

**STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I know it is "trivial", but you are supposed to ask for "extra cheese". They have a button on the order screen for that, and it is usually $.49 cents. Another word of advice...when you order a burger (oops - whopper) as for "no ketchup" and you are guaranteed a fresh one, not one that has been shelved (since they cant remove ketchup - but will open an old one and remove pickles), then ask for a ketchup pack=)
There are ways to beat these fast food chains, you just have to play within their rules!
