grave's disease... causes depression |
|
My bestfriend and I come a long way. We have been friends for over 10 years. Just a years ago, I noticed really extreme changes on her personality. She has become very irritable, sometimes unreasonably depressed, and hot tempered. I thought it was her blood pressure that caused these changes, until, when she came to me crying and angry. While confiding to me her predicament, i came to realize that something was really wrong with her... I told her to consult her doctor for further examination. Her actions were not normal anymore. She went thru alot of physical examinations, the results were shocking... she has grave's disease, a thyroid problem. It is surprising to learn that sometimes our emotional outburst, and depressions are caused by an ailing organ in our body. We most of the time blame our family, friends and the people around us for our anger, depression and temper. This cause family misunderstanding and conflict. If any of you guys out there are feeling so depressed and angry, that you can't control it... check your doctor!!!

Gareth126 (333) | 3 weeks ago | My friend is still under medication, but the depression and other symptoms are gone. The worst one who is having this kind of disease suffer, is depression, can you just imagine getting depressed and angry over things that are really petty. This causes conflict in the family. I am glad to hear your friend's trying to reach out to others who are suffering from this diseases...

2. Slurpiee (100) | 3 weeks ago | I know exactly what she was going for. When I was 19 I was diagnosed with the same thing. They had me go under radioactive iodine therapy. It was supposed to help but made things worse. I hope your friend has better luck with it than I.

Gareth126 (333) | 3 weeks ago | I honestly hope you are alright now, and yes, my friend so far is doing well on her oral medication. She did not have to go through radioactive iodine therapy though.
