Sex, Sex, Sex and More Sex! |
|
What is up with all the sex discussions? I'm not complaining and this isn't a rant, I am just curious about something. I see many sex discussions here on mylot. Discussions asking; what is your favorite sex position, how often do you have sex, when is the last time you had sex, Do you like this kind of sex or that kind of sex, etc. It seems that most of these discussions get quite a few responses too.
It's not just here on mylot either, but everywhere. My friends joke with each other about how the sex was or is with their partners, or go into detail about what sexual things they do or do not like to do with their partners and/or what their favorite "kinky" sexual activities are. Again, most people involved seem to really get into the conversation and go into great detail about their personal sex lives and/or what they do or do not like concerning the matter.
Not me. I might tell the occassional joke with a slight sexual inuendo to it, but it will be an offhand, general sort of thing, nothing that directly applies to me or my sex life, nor that necessarily has anything to do with my own preferences. The occassional, offhand, slightly sex related remark or joke is about as far as it goes with me. I just do not/would not feel comfortable going into any personal or real detail concerning my sex life or preferences with any group of people nor on any public forum. Maybe I'm to old fashioned, but to me, that stuff is private and something I have only shared with my husband, with the exception of a couple of things I might have shared in a one on one conversation with my bestest and closest friend.
I am just wondering, I am the only person left in this day and age that doesn't enjoy discussing my personal sex life and/or preferences with the world?

4. moneymakingtoday (1732) | 1 month ago | Well, betsy, count me in ... I am one with you. I saw 4 or 5 posts in sequence of the like from one member here. It was all about questions as you are citing above. I was a bit surprised that it even came from a female poster. Well, I know that is beyond me or that I am complaining, too. I, too, sometimes join in jokes with sexual innuendos but nothing that would also apply to me personally nor my sexual preferences. I personally think it is a matter better discussed with your spouse and not the whole world nor to even a best friend. Yes, people can call me conservative and old fashioned but that is what I am and I comfortable being one. Our culture might also have something to do with this.

10. Slurpiee (100) | 1 month ago | You are so not the only person who doesn't feel right discussing it. When asked such things I wonder why anyone would want to tell that stuff to start with. I find it as something personal between the people who experience it. If you are all wanting to tell about it, can it truly be that special to begin with?
