Well i'm glad this discussion has been posted incase others don't know that it can affect their digest. I hope you don't get too many shocks, I get an upset stomach and nausea too if I get upset or frightened, and no amount of indigestion tablets will cure it lol.
Making the deletions has caused the digest to become smaller, but what if we add to many? Do you think that would make a really long email? lol

Alice, I think there's a maximum of discussions in the digest, as I never seem to get more than half a dozen. Obviously you were a little too diligent in deleting interests if you only got 2!

I expect this must be the case, although it's the first I've noticed it. I have responded to the discussions from the digest on a few occasions and was disappointed to see it so meagre! lol.
I don't mind those one liners, you're paid for your content so whatever you reply back to them is what counts Thanx hon

This is what it says on the Digest:

"Here is your daily summary of the top discussions from your myLot Interests over the last 24 hours.
Wanna see more discussions here and get more out of your myLot Digest? Adding and editing your interests is the only way to ensure you do not miss hot, relevant discussions."

Hence if you have not joined a specific interest you will not be aware of what is happening in it.

I've never noticed that Mys but I think it is terrible that Mylot are promoting such bad usage of English. Things like 'wanna' are ridiculous to use in a site which promotes itself as using the English language.

@Alice, this now explains why I saw you added Greek lifestyle this morning, you'd deleted me.

Well I have to disagree with both of you ladies here - I deplore the use of language like that and doubt very much that 'wanna' is actually a word in any language. Although we know what it means it is not correct and the site is meant to promote good English and what are those who are here attempting to improve English as a second language to think, they will not understand the meaning and if they look it up in a dictionary won't find it. It has nothing to do with guidelines but more to do with my personal dislike of language being used in this way, a popular thing in advertising too.

@ Alice I never thought for a moment you'd deleted me. I thought about deleting most of mine as I'm convinced there's a link between advertising we see and interests we have, plus I don't use the interests when looking for discussions, unless its pe or cooking.

Re the ads I get those dreadful diet ones on the right side of my screen and the nice Greek ones on the top. The ones I meant regarding the interests are what is lurking under the blue lines. Anyway I suspect once we're marked with an interest the mylot memory machine will remember it.

I actually looked at that digest today after responding here and most of the discussions mentioned were from friends which was good to see.
So the list was Lamby, Aunty, Alice, me and Mr Misterwit. I didn't take any notice where they'd been put but it was nice to see we were well represnted up there.

I also got the digest today and was pleased to see 10 discussions in it again, after adding some interests yesterday It was lovely to see my friends in it too, and discussions I hadn't missed this time!

Yes the cavalcade across the top of the screen is great for finding discussions of interest to us to, but for some reason I rarely click on them. I normally go by email notifiers and the 'friends started' tab. Do you think it will have a bearing on my rankings too?

Neither did I! maybe MyLot admin are teaching me a lesson It is easier to locate and go into our interests from our profiles if there's only a few, no need to scroll through pages and pages of them.

It doesn't surprise me that you knew, you know the Lot back to front I knew a woman that I worked with and she had a cast iron stomach too, she used to eat all the leftovers from the fridge, even the out of date stuff! yuk.

If I'd known we would get the choice to add them after responding to a discussion I would never have wasted those hours adding them at sign up I don't mind having quite a few and we do have the option to hide them. After discussing the amount with a friend I think the maximum we get in the digest is 10... I had 2 this morning LMAO I'll add more as I go along, especially my friend's self created ones

I think you've misunderstood hon, MyLot hasn't changed anything...I did lol.
Your interests will always be on your profile and it's 10 (I think) top discussions from your interests that willl show in the digest. But because I had deleted mine from my profile I only had 2 top discussions from the money interests in my email for the MyLot digest. Thanks for responding

I expect the top ten in the digest are there for us to respond to simply because they are the top ten and because they are in our interests, but because I had deleted most of my interests I only saw 2 top discussions from the money interests
I don't mind having to reply to more responses, it keeps me busy and out of mischief but sometimes they do drag on and you miss discussions that friends are having fun in.
I used to suffer from IBS too, but most of my problems disappeared after I had a hysterectomy and quit smoking I do still get an upset stomach if I'm upset or worried though. Thanx for responding hon
