I was thinking of starting up a small extra cash thing where I do other people's holiday baking for them. I think this could be awesome for everybody. However, I'm stumped as to where to get the word out to people. Has anybody else done stuff like this before?

Because you are dealing with food you might need to get a certain license to do that. But if you just want to do it for friends and family for a little extra money just put the word out to everyone you know that you are wanting to do this and ask them to spread the word, have your phone number availabe with your name on some papers or index cards so you can give it out easily. Hopefully you will talk to just the right person who would interested in your service or who may know someone who would be interested in the service. I think to mass advertise though You would be safe to contact your village and find out what the rules are for selling food products. Then you could stick flyers on people's front doors in your area.

There is also a site on line called Etsy where you can sell your baked goods.

Keeping it small is probably the smart thing to do.
And I didn't know that etsy had a section for baked goods. Awesome.

I would love to know how well people do selling baked goods on there. If you decide to do it PM me and let me know.

I think you may want to check with your local area requirements for doing that. I think it shouldn't be an issue though. If you want to do home baked stuff for your local community then I think it would be great.

I've not done anything like that before but my Aunt did. It started with her offering her church mates and then putting up some flyers in her local grocers. Then, she spread the word to friends and family and it went viral by word of mouth.

I hope that helps. I'm not experienced in that regard but well, just my two cents.

I can use any and all help I can get. I just figure it's a nice way to make a little extra money. A lot of people are bad at/ just don't like baking while I'm goot at/really love baking.
