Dengue viruses are transmitted by Aedes aegypti mosquito. The patients initially develop an abrupt onset of high fever (39 to 40 degree centigrade) with headache, retro orbital pain, melaise, nausea, vomiting and myalgia.

hi furuindia It sounds to me like you are studying to be a doctor or medical tech
of some kind,or maybe already are. thanks for the information as I knew very'
little about dengue virus except that it makes people very ill. I used to be

Mosquitos get the virus from nature or water sources, that trasmit the virus to the humans.

I just got a call from a friend this morning asking if I'm willing to donate blood for his boss two sons who got sick with dengue. I just can't believe that those kids can get it since they live in a posh and upscale subdivision. I'm glad that two of my colleagues are kind enough. This just goes to show that dengue virus is dangerous and that you will never know when will it get to you.
