Do you sometimes fall asleep when listening to mass in church?

No.. Never!;D joke.. to church I always go with friends, so it is always funny, and it is hard to stop. I go to church because my parents say that;P. What about you?

When i was a kid, i used to do that. I just suddenly fell asleep while the mass is going on especially during the homili. But today, i dont do that coz i dont attent masses already.hehe

I admit that I did it a few times before (hopefully, none to follow). . It is true that there are priests who really know how to "wake up" churchgoers by the inserting humor into their homily. Some make me sleep, too. Sometimes I sleep late the night before and it is why I am sleepy in church. It is funny at times because my daughter who is beside me hits me by her elbow to wake me up.

Sometimes, yes, and there were times when I felt my eyelids were so heavy that I wish it would be over soon! And sometimes when everybody was so quiet because like you said, it was too long and 'boring' I would look around and I noticed that some people were actually not paying attention as well.

I guess some people just fall asleep besides the reason above is because of the silence especially during Gospel before the Homily, but when the priest has finished talking, everyone is suddenly become alive once again. That's not good, but it happens he he...

In my childhood I used to fall asleep in the time of mass. But gradually the habit changed. Nowadays I am very punctual and attentitive to the church proceedings.I wont say that the mass or homily is boring

We don't have a mass in our church because it is not found in the bible. We have preaching time and there are times that I feel tired but I need to awaken myself because it is important for me to listen and learn from the Word of God. The good thing is that we are free to say Amen. Our preacher is very dynamic such that we are not falling asleep or our day is in vain because we learn nothing. Therefore, it is great to listen attentively and get some truth from the Word of God being preached. Try some bible-believing, hell-fire preaching.

when i go to church, i dont fall asleep simply because i am doing work at church. my hubby and i run the powerpoint and the sound so if we fell asleep there would be big trouble! but i have heard of others falling asleep.

I wish I could fall asleep when listening to mass in church like Mr Bean did:) Have you seen it? Visit youtube and search for "Mr Bean - church bore" and you'll find it. Go ahead, watch it. You'll laugh so hard you may fall off chair:)

There are lots of churches here in our area. One of the biggest reason why people felt sleepy is the way the priest or preacher delivers his mass or his teachings. And many are very lousy in doing these things. I used to fell like it before, but I have learned that looking for a better priest or church to go to mass will give you actually enough energy not to fall asleep. Few priest makes the mass alive and stay it that way until the end of it.
