Do you or you and your family attend the movies now, as much as you did in the past? What are some of the better movies you have seen recently?

..Hi there muscles4me, I love movies as I have stated before, but lately, I have not had a movie grab my attention to the point that I get in my car and drive to the theater. More so my remote control has become my favorite toy and channel surfing to find the best offering for as movie has become my goal. So I pop my own popcorn, pour my own drink and relax in my own living room, to watch a movie that I have already seen because I like it so much or some other movie that seems like it is worth my time to watch. Take care and thanks for your comment.

For me I attend movies a lot at points and then at some points not so much. At this time the price for movies has risen dramatically so unless there is a movie I'm dying to see I don't mind waiting a few weeks in order for one of my roommates to download a version of it. For me watching it at home is always a better experience since its cheaper, comfier, and better food. Plus I don't have to worry about other people being in the room bothering me. But if I had to say how many times I go to the movies a year I would say that is probably around 2-3 times a year.

...Hi anotherxidentity, You are probably in the majority, where you go sometimes and you don't go as much at other times you don't. At home watching a movie or movies is where I find myself these days, especially when the ticket price hit $7.00, don't know what they are now but it's a little too much for me. So I look for the best that may be on tv and enjoy those movies for what it's worth. Take care.

I do not go the the movies hardly at all any more. It seems to me that there is too much litter and too much noise. If someone takes their cellphone into the movie that is so annoying that I don't even want to risk it. Also having grown up at a time when 2 movies cost 15 cents including the newsreel and cartoons, it is hard for me to want to spend $7.50 for just one show.

..Hi drannhh, Thanks for sharing your opinion. I find myself staying home more and more with my television and vcr. It is amazing the increase in price for one movie.
I remember paying 35 cents for 2 movies as well, with a cartoon added. More and more people are entertaining themselves at home and popping their own popcorn. I love movies but now days, the cost has really become prohibitive to attend the theater.
But I still love a good movie. Take care.

Hello. I used to be a real movie addict during my college days. I would go to movies atleast three times a week. Right after school, I would have a cup of coffee, and head straight to the movie theatre. I very much miss those days. No more time now ! So busy with work ! By the time I get back home from work, it's almost 9 o'clock, and just so tired. I would just have to listen to my favorite classical music for a while, and then go on straight to bed ! No more movies !

...Hi greenline, I too used to go the movies much more than I do now. I have substituted the television and the movies shown there for my movie going. There was nothing like getting a large bucket of popcorn and a large drink, settling down in the darken theater and getting lost in the film. I miss my weekly escapes, maybe I'll get back to them, but for now, Bravo, and HBO will have to do.
Thanks for your reply. Take care.

...Hi abbiemaldonado, I love movies, I go to the movies and I watch the show once, and then I sit for a second showing to analyze the picture. Movies are an escape for me, they sometimes have lessons, they are funny at times, not even meaning to be.
One of the best movies I have seen was Chariots of Fire, I have seen it many times. Thanks for your input. Let's hope the economy turns around sooner rather than later. Take care.
