IS it safe to put up a Xmas tree when you have a naughty 2 yr.old son?

Yes, put your tree up. You need to put up your decorations. No time like the present to teach your 2 yr old disapline. He needs to know right from wrong and a spanking doesn't leave lifetime scarring. Use this as a time to teach!! If need be, go to the dollar store and purchase styrofoam ornaments to aid in the situation so that family heirlooms are not destroyed while educating your son.

I have a nephew who has been disaplined since day 1 and not coddled. He is a polite and well mannered 4 yr old. He speaks very plainly and uses an extensive vocabulary for his age. He gets time out when he is unruly and comes back much calmer.

Deal with the problem at hand and stop babying your toddler!!!~ If you don't STOP him now, what will he continue to be like with his tantrums and behavior? Now is the time to decide what type of teenager you are raising. Teach him to respect your belongings.

You most definitely should put up your Christmas tree. Your son must learn how to behave. This will give you the opportunity to teach him respect for things and people too, namely his Mommy! Take the time to insist that he do the right thing and be consistent. He will appreciate this later in his life.

i undrestand where you are coming from my son is now seven and that is what he use to do. but i got smart and maybe it looked stupid to some but i just put the bulbs and stuff up to where he could not reach them and i know it sound mean but i would slap (but not hard) his hands t make him not touch
