Have you worn a DEAD WRIST WATCH?

I have a teacher in my third year in high school whom we admire a lot. She looks expensive in every angle. Her hair is always well-coiffured, she wore a nice make-up, her jewelries looks real, her dress is nice and fits her well and her shoes or sandals are always high-heeled. All in all, she looks elegant. Not your typical teacher indeed.
One day, we are having a seat work. I didn't know what got into me, I asked her what time is it. Maybe I just really want to know the time. But I mean, do I really have to ask my teacher for that? Oh well... I have asked her. So, she looks a little surprised and smiled to me saying that her wrist watch is not working-she actually admitted that she's wearing it just for a display.
You can never imagine how hard my classmates and I tried to suppress a smile. So, since that day, she became a star of our funny stories. How could you forget a teacher who look rich, only to find out that she's wearing a dead watch? Gee!

invisiblelady maybe she was embarrassed that her watch had stopped too ,and
did not want to tell her students that. I really think she was joking a bit
about just wearing it for display.if not she sure made a blunder that her'students
'would be quick to pick up on and make a joke out of. no you will always remember
a teacher with a watch that does not work. like I remember the professor who would prance up and down in front of us then stop right in front of my tape recorder and raise his voice. almost to a yell as if he was afraid my recorder would not pick up. one thing for sure we never fell asleep in his class.
