| |  Although I have not watched "Sita sings the Blues" i can tell you something about Sita. Sita was the wife of Rama from the famous mythological epic "Ramayana". She was found by King Janaka of Mithila while ploughing the land. Sita is also referred as Janaki as she was adopted by King Janaka. She was abducted by the asura king Ravana who wanted to marry her. But after a long war Rama finally rescues her from the asura king. She is also believed to be the incarnate of Goddess Lakshmi the god of wealth who is the consort of Lord Vishnu.
