Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas?  

I can't believe the holidays are almost here! I guess it just doesn't quite feel like it yet, even though I've already done some Christmas shopping! Maybe after Thanksgiving it will? I think a lot of it is the lack of snow and the fact that the weather has been on the warmer side lately.

I will be spending the holidays with my husband and I's families. They don't live too far apart from each other, so we're able to share our holidays, which is nice!

My husband and I are going to divide our time between our house and her mother's house.
His mother is a widow and it can be lonely if we leave her alone on Christmas. Fortunately, we all live in the same city so there is no problem about travel time.
Christmas usually means dinners and get-togethers with family, officemates, friends and old friends for me. I do not go out of town as we tend to get busy during the season.

For a fact that its Jesus' birthday - is it, I just came from a post where the majority of people who answered it said Dec 25th was not the day that Jesus was born on, and that its a Pagan festival or something.
We dont really celebrate Christmas, and we will spend the day together at home.
Something else you said interested me - We tend to tone down with our activities and celebrate this day solemnly with our loved ones. Your xmas and the xmas here sound like 2 different things, as xmas daY here is usually quite an up tempo affair, lots of eating, drinking, opening gifts, kids running around all happy and noisy,

But how ever we spend it, where ever we are, and what ever faith we follow if any,
