can hair dye be harmful to you?

all hair dyes have chemicals and my thinking is that it is best to avoid chemicals as much as you can. it may cause skin allergies and may also weaken the hair. i have also seen some cases where even normal hair also turn white after excessive use of hair color. many hair colors also contain ammonia which is not a good thing to inhale. however i am not sure about its effect on pregnancy. occasional use is okay but making a habit out of it is certainly not advisable.

Hair dye nowadays is safe - even for pregnant women (I think that scare came from years and years and years ago when dyes contained lead). If you are worried about it though you can use an all natural product.

I have used it for years and don't think it's done any damage.....I have allergies too and it certainly does't effect them.

i think there is no definite evidence or studies that hair colorant (dye) can be harmful during pregnancy, and i would not be expected harmful with occasional use because the amount of hair dye absorbed through skin is so small..

hi,moonlitmagikchild! I believe hair dye is harmful for health.since it can be absorbed by bodies ,it reaches organs all over the bodeis with blood circulation including matrix.so when the woman is pregnant,it can reach the embryo. have a nice day!
