What is on-show at terror trial - Jihad or the American legal system?  

He's right. They ( the 9/11 plotters) have already opted to plead not guilty in the trial and use it to expound on their ideals and postulate against this country and it's system. And what appaled me even more was listening to their defense attorney this afternoon pretty much parroting their beliefs. I sincerely hope people are paying attention and that they remember this vile disgusting piece of plague ridden filth, I hope this man never finds work as attorny again and I honestly hope someone assaniates every single one of those putrid maggot terrorists before they ever see the inside of the court room.

Their defense attorney has already stated publicly that they are pleading "not guilty" so they can put the United States on trial. They intend to use their trial as a platform to prove they were justified in murdering 3000 Americans who did nothing that day except get up and go to work. It isn't just Cheney who saying it gives the terrorists a platform. I am saying it, a majority of Americans are saying it and the terrorists themselves are saying it.

Americans should be proud of their legal system. It shows that even the meanest and nastiest have a right to have their cases judged on their merits.

All the facts will come out, evidence will be presented to show motive, intention and action. All can be questioned, all can be considered. Eventually a panel of neutrally selected people will decide.

It is undoubtedly the fairest way for this to be handled. If properly conducted, it will once again show to the world everything that is good about the United States and everything that it represents to those of us in the rest of the world.

And if it was good enough for the likes of Al Capone or John Gotti, why should it not be good enough for Khalid Sheikh Mohammad?

On show are the terrorists, they will get their platform to spout their crap.On trial will be our nations security. If you thought 9-11 was bad, just wait. We will show them how a terrorist can get off on a technicality. I generally have faith in our system, but not at all in this situation. Think about the rioting alone that will come with this trial.
