5 Game Suspension for George Laraque!! HA!

So glad to see that the NHL has suspended everyone's favorite goon, George Laraque. He will miss five games and lose $38,860. Poor thing. I am sure that this suspension was not enough to the Wings. They have lost so much more with having Kronwall out for 1-2 months. At least the league stepped up and realized that the hit was intentional.

It does seem unfair that he will only be gone for 5 games, while Kronwall will miss 4 to 8 weeks. And that Laraque is only a 4th line guy. Anyway, I heard that the Habs are already through with this guy. This and that commercial fiasco at the beginning of the season. They say they were just going to buy out his contract to get him off the line up.

Would love to see that happen. He wouldn't leave a big hole in the world of hockey were he to be gone.

I was surprised he got 5 games, I was hoping for 2 anyway. Hopefully it will get his attention for the rest of tis season anyway. We wil miss Kronwall more than they will miss Laraque.
