I totally agree with Antiquelady. This practice smacks very much like those so-called tests given during the Salem witch trials. Many innocent people, not just women, died over such ridiculous tests that were done in the name of God. I am sure some of those religious leaders meant well in their efforts to protect their people under their jurisdiction. Nonetheless, their tests, as this one with the muddy drink, were dangerous and without divine endorsement or support. God deals with all his children, good and bad, in his own way and in his own time. The holy bible is full of valuable information on how to handle those you suspect are wicked and dangerous. Thank GOD, I was never subject to such madness and abuse of religious/civil authority.

Lol, truly corruption among some police authorities are shameful and it also true with some of our police authorities.

In the Muslim world it seems to be a crime if the women commit adultery but they look the other way if a man does it. Isn't it O.K. for the men to marry more than one woman. I have to wonder how many women actually died because of the test?

Too many probably.

Aids is a sign for some. The only thing is the partner may also get it without having committed adultery and that is what is so sad about Aids. Many a bride gets married in white who aren't a virgin. If one out of a thousand were virgins who got married I would be surprised.
