| I am a middle aged male with brittle and cracking toenails, looking for advice  | | | |  I am in my 40's and have had brittle and cracking toenails for years, my fingernails are fine. I always keep the nails trimmed so they do not get long, but when I clip my toenails, they crack and split. Is there any solution I can buy say at Walmart that can put on them to make them stronger and healthier?

| |  Have you tried to clip them after soaking in the tub? soaking in the tub will soften them up. My hubby does that otherwise his crack off too.

| | Yes, I have, they still split either way. My wife helped me solve this problem with a nail hardener serum, I guess its what it is called. I just put it on my two large toes that crack the worse. The downside, they are a little shiny but they do not have any color, thank God, but they have not been as brittle when I clip them.
