Who else will try reality tv? Who would you want to watch in a reality series?

Okay let's see. We've had MC Hammer, DMX, Keyshia Cole and her wacky family, Paula Abdul, Kimora Lee Simmons, Gene Simmons, the Gottis(mafia), the Gottis (rapper), and lets not forget Flavor Flav. If I have left anyone else out its because I couldnt bare to picture any more of them in my mind. I think you get the point. If you look at it on screen, its a wide genre of people who have jumped into the reality television arena. Some were better than others. Its so bad that we know have wealthy, eccentric, housewives in various cities in the United States that grace our television screens so we can see how F*cked up they are even though they have money. If I could choose another person to have a reality show I would choose, the president, or I dont know maybe me? lol Trust me I have the most boring life around. No one would watch mine. I think I am sick of reality television. I dont want to see how anyone else lives. I have a hard enough time taking care of mine and making sure that all is well. Why would I want to watch other people squander money ridiculously. How about you? Who would you want to watch on reality television if you had the chance?

I do not think any TV network would date to show the truth about the president in a Reality Show. It would be phony trumped up fantasy show from the imaginations of his publicity czars! YUK what a horrible thought!

Actually it was pretty good thought! Maybe you should copyright it in case it gets stolen...ha ha! I must admit I would watch just to see how far they would go in embellishing the fantasy we are get fed everyday on the news media TV.

I totally agree Whitheather. But it would be interesting to see how they would make it watchable. You and I know there wouldnt be any real television in it. It was just a thought. dl

Good move Lakota! It can get addicting. Then you realize you're living thru a bunch of has been celebrities that need rehab or a job. This is what fame does to you if you dont make good choices. Its sad that the telelvision network doesnt care about quality just quantity. dl

I usually hate reality television, the American ones and the Australian shows. There is one exception and that is Survivor. In the past we mainly got the American one, but once, Australia did it's version of Survivor. We hadnt been seeing Survivor for quite some time, but it started aghain last week. I couldnt belive one of the contestants. A short, but very strong man, who owned a company, and claimed he was not in the show to win the money. I couldnt believe his crap attitude. He said he was out to control everyone, be sneeky and undermine all the other contestants. He called the blonde hair contestants sexist names. I hope I havent missed this weeks episodes, buit Im afaid that I may have.

Cameras do terrible things to people. Its like it causes their worst to come out. You know what else? People honestly think by acting like that it will make them famous. It has worked for some others. How embarassing it must be for their families. Reality television is a breeding ground for trouble. No matter what the show is about. dl

I don't really watch a lot of reality television but when I do randomly catch something, I usually see people that like to act....why not you?! Even if your life is boring right now, they should find someone that is just a common, everyday person. Watching someone go from a normal, everyday boring life to someone that's well known with new found friends and money would be interesting to me, just to see how and if they would change. Kind of like a lot of the talk shows like Springer & Maury, I'm tired of people that "ACT" because they know everyone is watching them.....why not someone with a normal, everyday life? I'm tired of seeing people that have bowling alleys and swimming pools inside their house with a full six car garage!! I think I'd rather see how someone, on a normal, daily basis deals with their kids (without the super nanny's help) and keeps their house clean (without the help of a home makeover team), how they built a deck by themselves, stuff that the rest of us could learn from and at least try to be able to afford ourselves to do......find me someone that can feed a family of 10 who uses coupons and tells us how they do it so they only spend $10.00 a month on groceries.....

That is an awesome Idea my friend! I think the sponsors would be afraid that people would learn to live without things. When I was single, just me and the girls our meals were miracles sometimes. That would be nice to see. You should really send a pitch to a small network. Its about time we see how real families manage. Good Idea. dl

American Idol has helped many people with their careers. It has also crushed peoples dreams. That is a good example of reality television. dl

I dont want to make urs or someone elses life miserable but tell you the truth according to Aristotle when we watch the misery of a high up and compare it with ours it provides us with catharses and releases the tension that we are in. It gives us a security and a realization hey we are not the only one suffering there are others too. If I am allowed to have a choice I would like to see some unusual funny characher like Bill Smith or Cosby. Lets see if they are funny in their homes and with faimilies as well.

I understand where you going with this Eddify. However, these shows just show me that these celebrities, who have been fortunate enough to experience success, dont appreciate it. I think that reality television is far from being real. As long as people still watch it, television will never change there expectations of people. Thus our children will think its okay to live as if they have no responsibilities. dl

I used to like to watch alot of these types of shows but it got old very quickly. there are just too many of them these days. I am too busy working, to have the time to watch them anymore or keep up with them.
