Judging Blindly

Do you make snap judgments about complete strangers? I joined another site to try to make a few dollars. You get paid to write reviews. Well, you have to promise that you won't post anything you posted elsewhere, that it is your original work and that there are no copywrites. Well, I made a mistake. I posted a recipe and had forgotten that I had posted it elsewhere maybe 2 years ago. I got a message saying my account was being closed because I'd committed fraud and stolen the review. They included the link where the found the post. I felt that they should have sent a letter of inquiry instead of making a snap judgment and calling you a theif basically. What if someone else had stolen my work and posted it? Can you honestly remember everything you ever posted in your life? I admit to my mistake but isn't that kind of ugly for them to assume things?

Exactly Riyasam. I wasn't intentionally making a mistake. And guess what, it won't be the last mistake I ever make. But I truly can't apologize for sharing things with people I care about. And I can't know everything I've ever said, read, thought, felt or posted. So, forgive me for being human. Thanks for responding.

A bit harh, but OK you did breake the rules, I would imagine that the site would be willing to reopen your account if you send them a mail explaining the situation :) What site are you referring to, just to be curious :)

Yes, harsh is a good word. And no, they aren't going to re-open the account, and the truth is, thats fine. I just felt that they should instead send out a letter of inquiry instead of being harsh. It is called review stream. A freind of mine does well there. I'm happy for her. I just didn't appreciate being judged like that.
