Scrapbooking discussion with the photo this time!

My previous discussion went up without the photo attached... wonder why, though I did upload it and it shows on the screen below the discussion box... trying again.
Will you give it a try if you had a chance to do a simple layout?Here's one of mine to share. I did it for a challenge, which is what they call mini-competitions. The challenge was to do a layout based on squares and stitching. Which is why you see so many squares and stitches.
I do scrapbooking cos I think it's meaningful, and something that my kid can look back on. it also combines my desire to do something artistic. an outlet, somewhat.
There are classes that teach simple layouts, and cost about $35 for 3 hours. I tried that and was hooked ever since.:)
Will you consider doing a layout? What ocassion will you chose to scrap about?

Don't stress yourself on the occasion. Just categorize all your pictures you want in your scrap book and just go and stick them all in your book. That way your scrap book will be done very very interesting.
For me the point of scrap booking is to put some scrap together with your beloved picture and finish as ART.
ART meaning no PLANS just go for it hehehe

That page is beautiful, and much more creative tan what I would create. I like to keep them simple. Maybe someday, I will take a class, but I right now I gather tips and ideas from creative people like yourself.

Hmm... I wouldn't really know for sure what I would scrap about of late.
I guess a review of the year would be appropriate for the end of the year.
Looking thru the photos taken throughout the year to find some milestones to mark the goals or main events of the year would be a great project to work on.
As for the layout... well, I have yet to get my hands dirty on scraping. So that would take some planning and sitting down to come up with a design.
