to cut or not to cut?

I am trying to keep my hair long, but as it grows it really looks quite untidy and out of shape. i tie it back now, but even the fringe is starting to look messy. I was thinking of giving it a cut so that it looks more decent. and haircuts always makes one feel good. but i want to keep my hair long, and it's taken forever to grow beyond shoulder length. if i cut now it seems like it will be two steps forward, one step back. and i will take even longer to grow my hair out. what would you do if you were in my shoes?

Well, it's always like this.. THe growing stage tend to be at its worst, as it's not of the right length and thickness etc.. YET, it cant be styled according to the way u want to look good.. lol =D BUt it's the right way, to trim it slightly.. So that it looks nicer, and by time it grows, it will be much easier to handle too.. Though time taken to grow back your long hair is longer, but u will able to look good all the time, so why not?? hehe

Well, it's up to us, the customers, to dictate what we want.. After all, what they think look good, might not be what we want.. haha =D Be firm, and never visit those 'popular' hair salon, as they will never listen.. lol =D Thanks for the pencil ^_^

Hi. I normally have my hair trimmed whenever I experience that feeling. I'm afraid to have a very short haircut so I prefer trimming. My feeling of having a messy look stops once I got a haircut - even if just a trim. Well, I think it really depends on a person's preference.

I think it is totally up to you. I used to always wear my hair long but have had it cut short for about 4 years now. I like the way it looks when it is long but it is so hot. I am trying to let mine grow back out now.

yes the hardest part is when it scratches your neck.

Condition, condition and more conditioner! I guess if I want to keep my hair long, and it is growing all over the place, then conditioning it with some good conditioner would help to some extend. Hot oil is another treatment that you can consider! And well, if single individual hair is really frizzy, I would pull out that particular troublesome hair!

my hair is now waist length. i have not really cut it for the past five years. i've only trimmed it twice because it's getting really heavy. i have loads of clips to keep my hair tidy. most times i'll have a small clip for my fringe and a large clip to bun up my hair. these days, i'll plait my hair so that it won't get in my way. i will not be cutting my hair until it reaches my butt.
