to tell you the truth i can always guess who is infront of the wheel based on how smoothly a vehicle runs. sometimes i just shake my head if my disappointment confirms that it is a female driver. have you noticed this? it seems like little toy cars are really toys for the big boys when males grow up.

Well, cars are mostly known to be well driven by males but, there are cases wherein females are attuned with their vehicles, perhaps their own fascination as boys would have with their own interests.
Machines are often considered to be attuned to the masculine side, hard and rough in handling as they might say so, with the soft touch of women, as stereotyped as it may sound, it would be awkwardly handled.
Cars are commonly known for males but, there are cases wherein some women have no problem with maneuvering with one too.

Now that you have brought it up, you can consider a lot of things that men are very well known to be good at, as well as for things that women are very well known to be good at.
I always think that women's hand writing, cursive or print, seems more appealing than that of guys, well mine is an example anyway (^_^")

thank you for that insightful sharing. it's like another question that i like to bring up but would still think about: why do men stink in doing the groceries

I feel like there's no truth to any of the stereotypes out there for female or male drivers. They're equally bad of drivers, if you ask me! lol! I know, actually, many more MALE (teenagers) who are MUCH less careful and MUCH more reckless than my female driver friends.

Hi Ritchelle,
I do not drive so I have no experience with driving in road
. But a survey conducted a bi-weekly magazine published from our native (Kerala) is revealing that the female drivers are the careful drivers than males and they are very particular on traffic rules. Accidents are less with females. I am telling the same according to that feature. Agreeing or disagreeing with this, that is upto you.

thank you for sharing. however, i think it is in my definition of stinky driving that gives my post a different tone. for me, when i was writing the post, it was a little bit deficient on defensive driving thing that i have in mind. but as to following traffic rules, as with anything and everything else
, we women do that all the time than men.

I have to admit that it's pretty embarrassing for a girl like me to see female drivers do so poorly on the road. It's not at all encouraging for other women to become drivers. I think it's so easy to spot female drivers because they're the ones whose vehicles swerve here and there every time - like they're not even sure of what they're doing!
Men are pretty good at driving because they know how to focus on one task at a time where as women multi-task even the most important things -- such reckless driving might just cost them their lives... and other people's :(

that's another nail being hit on the head. you got it, friend. yeah, even with windows closed you can tell within a blink of an eye the gender of the one handling the wheel based on the way the vehicles swerve "here and there". it's like our hips

I am sorry if you do not hold good opinion about woman drivers. But I personally feel that women are far better than males as they do not take risks and follow all traffic rules and are considered to be safe drivers. Hope u are not offended.

Girls tend to suck, this is a fact. It is the guys reflexes who were born for driving. They have the guts to dare and also do it safely while girls tend to have bad judgement because they think too much and use less reflexes. ( This means by the majority of Male / Female ).

well I have seen shocking male drivers and also shocking female drivers.
The thing about driving is we all think we are great drivers but very few of us actually are as good as we think we are.
I do think male drivers tend to drive faster and are more rushed and I also think most male drivers want the biggest engine possible where as most female drivers treat a car as a means from getting from A-Z.
Though I have no problems with women drivers its the over 60's which annoy me the most lol, and all the boy racers in 1 litre corsa's done up to look like its as quick as a formula 1 car when in actual fact its still only a 1 litre lol,

i guess you'd be confusing a female driver in place of that over 60 person
. and certainly being so insensitive to the limits of one's possessions and being boastful about a teeny tiny vehicle sure is annoying...

Lol i think this question is really cute! But I must say that I have gotten alot of compliments on my driving for a female. Not only for my driving, but also my keen sense of direction! So even though alot of the stereotypes are right, there are a few that break the mold.. like myself!
