Who Are The Worst Bullies, Men or Women?

To me, this is a no-brainer. It is most definitely WOMEN!
They start young too. Two examples I can remember are, the first time was me and 2 of my girlfriends went to the local swimming-baths on our bikes. We were about 11 years old. Once in the pool it went fine but then the two of them decided to keep swimming away from me. Whenever I caught up with them, they would swim away some more, giggling as they went. In the end I got so frustrated that I got out of the pool and came home on my own.
Another time I was playing out with one of the two friends mentioned above and she suddenly told me that she was going to her house for her cardigan. Her house was round the corner. I sat on the wall outside my house waiting as she told me she'd be back out soon. She did come out..but went to the house over the road. Next minute she came out with another girl and her family, they all piled into a car and drove off with them waving to me as they went. Judging by the fact they all had buckets and spades, they were off to the seaside (Blackpool is where I used to live, which is a seaside resort). I blame the parents of both children. They were as bad as their kids.
Have you experienced bullying like this? My Mum tried her best to stop it but if the girls in question didn't really want to be my friend, there's not a lot she could do.
This is why I have always, ALWAYS got on better with boys/males. If they don't like you they tell you...to your face!! None of this shady business behind your back! I can have better conversations with men, even now. Put it this way; I avoid hen nights!

Oh dear, hormones all over the place no doubt. My brother was a pain when he was younger (I'm 14 months older than him) but I don't think I'd be able to cope if I had a sister. Would love a sister now that I'm older but I don't reckon Mum will be into the idea because she's 63 and Dad is 72 lol.

Hi Janey,
In school, i can say that men are more bullies than women. i used to defend my younger brothers from their bully classmates. Now, based on my observation around--like shopping malls, grocery and anywhere where there's a need to fall in line, some women tried to make themselves ahead in the line when in fact they need to fall in line and be the last on the line.

In other words, they are "jumping the queue" as we call it here. That happens a lot in the UK, especially when there are sales on. They are like vultures picking over scraps!

that's true...i know it's happening everywhere especially in seasons like christmas were there's lots of sales and people are really in a hurry getting some more without realizing that they're becoming rude and inconsiderate. thanks for sharing your personal observations too!

I would say that females are major bullies men tend to be more laid back when it comes to bullying when females tend to find someone they make them feel insecure about themselves they will usually bully that person a bully is really a weakling who just get a thrill off other peoples pain thus makes them pretty low and unable to figure life out and that is always a sad thing when they can't move on and get over it.

I was once labelled an indirect bully by my supervisor because I'd gone about not having anything to do to someone else. It was said in all innocence and I never thought for one moment she would take it further. I was absolutely gobsmacked because it later transpired that she went round everyone in the office (when I was off work) to have, like a question and answer session with them...all about me. I read it sometime later (as she went off with stress) and it broke my heart that she could be so vindictive. I have never worked anywhere (before or since) that had such a negative atmosphere and it was all down to bad management. :-(
