Which is your favourite children book? Especially for ages under 4?
I was thinking of the Mr Men series, Spot books...
Lately I've come across a series called "That's not my (monkey/pirate/lion/penguin/truck/fairy)" that is 'touchy-feely' with lots of textures for kids to feel.
Another good children's author is Julia Donaldson - I love her rhymes! easy to memorise the whole book after you are made to read it again and again...
What are some that you like? I'm trying to think of Christmas presents...

That show is darn boring!
In fact, to finish the darn movie, I had to watch it in three installments!
Only the last part where the guy caught a whiff of the girl and said "You brought a snack" that the movie was more interesting. Otherwise, I was bored silly watching the show!
Darn glad I did not catch it on the big screen!

My grandkids loved Mercer Mayer's Little Critter books. They are cute and simple. Mercer Mayer deals with every thing from potty training to having a new brother. The illustration are cute too. Most of them are make you feel good and ways to handle different situations. They are fun books for kids to have read to them. There is also a web site to see what he is all about.

I like That is Not My ... series. My son really likes those books. When my nephews were four years old they liked Not Now Bernard and You'll Soon Grow Into Them Titch. I think that Rosie's Walk is a charming book. Yes, Julia Donaldson has written some delightful books with entertaining rhyme. I like the Donaldson Dairy and the Hairy Maclary books. Sticky Beak Sid is a funny bird. Six Dinner Sid is a lovely book. I like Judith Kerr's The Tiger Who Came to Tea. Spot books are ever so enjoyable.

I really like the Frog and Toad series when my kids were little. Curious George was always a big hit with the 4 and under crowd around here. Shel Silverstine still sits in the front of the bookshelf, my grand kids love the Giving Tree and where the sidewalk ends. I use to read his books and alot of Dr Suess. They loved the silly rhymes.. when my 5 year old nephew doesn't like what his mom makes him for lunch he crosses his little arms and tells her "I will not eat that on my chair."
He almost has green eggs and ham memorized and he loves The Places you Go and Are you My Mother.
Books for Christmas...What a great mom you are. I love giving books.
