| Philadelphia 76ers ends 12 game losing skid. Big game for Allen Iverson | | | | It's just great to know that Allen Iverson have finally won a game back in 76ers uniform. Iverson scored 20 points in 7/10 shooting from the field and dished out 4 assists to help the Philadelphia 76ers end a 12 game losing skid with a convincing 117-101 win over the Golden State Warriors. Just a few games back after being waived by the Memphis Grizzlies, Iverson could still be out of his top shape and might be back to his old usual form (or at least close to it). As a basketball fan growing up watching a lot of Allen Iverson during his glory days with the 76ers, I just can't help but root for AI and the 76ers once again despite the poor early showing. The 76ers started 5-6 before the 12 straight defeats which sent them down 5-8 before the win. It might be tough to climb back up the standings but knowing who AI (Iverson) is a few seasons back, I'm just hopeful that the 76ers can still turn the season around. Philadelphia's another AI (Andre Iguodala) has been showing a lot of promise as well as Thaddeus Young who by the way top billed the 76ers with 26 points and 14 rebounds in the win. Iverson could provide the 76ers some identity again while Iguodala and Young can grow and mature into consistent and more reliable players as the season progresses. With Iverson back in helm, the 76ers is actually one of the teams that I'm keeping a close eye upon for the rest of the 2009-2010 season. Getting a spot in the starting line-up, getting his shots, and more importantly the support the entire city of Philadelphia have for him, pretty sure Iverson will stay for a while with his former team and better yet get an extension for next season. It's not yet too late for Iverson as he's still got a lot left in him. He's still good for 2 or 3 seasons more and that could be enough to at least give the 76ers a jumpstart to become a contender once again. Iverson should retire as a 76er. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | great game for allen iverson here. hopefully, this will do well for the confidence of the team. got a lot of young talent there and the 76ers can build on this win. lol at elton brand for not starting. i think he doesn't fit the style of play of philadelphia although the team needs an inside presence, they need a big man that can run with the guards durign the break. unfortunately, elton brand is not that man. i think philly tries to unload elton brand before the trade deadline but i doubt if there will be any takers especially with brand's big contract. just don't see any positives for a team to take a chance with elton brand. just my thoughts. cheers!!! | | | | | | | boybato (2210)

| | I think the 76ers can still find a good use for Elton Brand. He sure can still haul down some rebounds, block some shots, and play decent defense. Though he's pretty slow and would seem unfit for the 76ers style of play which thrives a lot on fast, athletic, and high octane basketball, Brand gives the 76ers a good reputation defensively if he'll be used frequently from time to time and as long as he stays healthy for long. It's indeed true that the 76ers will have a hard time moving brand considering that his contract is not just that fat, it also extends until the end of the 2012-2013 season. Brand is the highest paid 76er for the 2009-2010 season getting $14,858,471 for the whole season. I would never trust the 76ers team to Brand when it comes to scoring because they've already got Allen Iverson, Andre Iguodala, and Thaddeus Young leading the way. Brand and Samuel Dalembert will make a good combination defensively to at least help the 76ers on the other end. Though he might not be as good as Dwight Howard or Josh Smith in blocking shots nor as tight as Ron Artest or Shane Battier in shutting down other players, Brand is already good enough for the 76ers. | | | | | | | Iverson Wood Snowshoes Free shipping.
