The Phoenix Suns remained unbeaten at home  

Though they have already lost grip of the lead in the Western Conference, the Phoenix Suns still continues it's impressive stretch for the 2009-2010 season after they won their 9th home game of the season against no losses. Steve Nash came up big with 25 points and 13 assists against former short time rivals San Antonio Spurs in leading the Suns to a 116-104 win. Amare Stoudemire also had a big night finishing with 28 points and 14 rebounds. The biggest boost for the Suns though was back up point guard Goran Dragic. Dragic, playing as Nash's reliever, finished with 18 points in 7/9 shooting, 4/5 from threes. Channing Frye also had a decent night finishing with 15 points and 8 rebounds and hit 3/4 from beyond the arc. The Suns survived Tim Duncan's 34 points and 14 rebounds night. Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili struggled as both combined for a total of 22 points in a mere 6/19 shooting from the field.

Phoenix now holds a 17-8 record and is the best home team so far for the 2009-2010 season. They are 4th overall in the West behind the defending champions and division rivals Los Angeles Lakers (19-4), and powerhouses Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks (both at 18-7). Should the Suns continue their dominance in their homecourt and get some better groove on the road, it would be a big 2009-2010 season. However, Alvin Gentry should consider bringing in more bodies for the Suns or make a fast work on letting the other Suns get into the system because playing 6-8 persons every game night might take a toll on the usual Suns reliables. So far, so good for the Suns but the question now is, can they continue the streak? Will they be consistent? I'm really crossing my fingers that they will do so as the season progresses.
